Carolina Suárez is a founding partner and manager of CAP. She has worked in investment banking since 1993. She was Vicepresident and manager of Violy, Byorum & Partners of their office in Colombia. She has worked in important transactions in the Andean Region and Central America.

She has led mergers and acquisitions in the food, aviation, commerce, telecommunications, media and oil sectors among others.

Likewise, she has led financing and capital raising processes for projects in the transportation, infrastructure, food and beverage, telecommunications and media sectors.

Before joining VB&P, she worked as associate for ING Barings Colombia, where she was responsible of the telecommunication, media, food and beverage, mass consumption and petrochemical sectors.

Between 1993 and 1994 Carolina was part of the Fogafin team, where she worked in the privatization process and monitored various financial institutions, including Banco de Colombia.

Ms. Suarez is an Economist from Universidad de Los Andes and has a MBA from the Columbia Business School (New York).
