Ignacio Ponce de León is the Managing Associate of CAP.

Ignacio was Managing Director of JP Morgan between 1995 and 2005, where he was responsible o the emerging markets debt research unit. The unit was founded by Mr. Ponce de León and was chosen as the number one in the market by the Institutional Investor as well as by Euromoney Latin Finance.

He was also Vicepresidnet of Credit Suisse First Boston between 1992 and 1995 in the research of stock emission where he was responsible of covering infrastructure and Latin American conglomerates.

Ignacio was Vicepresident of Bankers Trust Company’s Mergers and Acquisitions unit for six years where he led a team in charge of all the companies’ valuations and fairness opinions.

He was in charge of the Finance Studies Division of the National Planning (Colombia), whose objective was to finance the national development plan, precisely in the independent projects.
